Consultations are important. Everyone’s immigration journey looks different and with 100s of Canadian immigration programs with varying eligibility requirements, the answer to your relocation or continued stay will usually not have a straightforward answer. If it does, certain personal information is still needed in order to make a legal recommendation.
Think of immigration like a 1000-piece puzzle (seriously) – you need all the pieces to see the bigger picture.
What is NextGen’s consultation fee?
Our consultation fee is $135CAD (plus applicable tax) for a 30-minute appointment or $270CAD (plus applicable tax) for a 60-minute appointment.
How will my consultation be held?
We offer consultations by video conference and phone.
Who will my consultation be with? Will they be my representative?
You will receive a one-on-one consultation with Lauren Shannan, NextGen’s Senior Immigration Consultant. If choosing to retain NextGen to represent you in your immigration application, Lauren will also be your representative throughout the immigration process.
We believe it is important for you (and us) to speak directly with the person you will be working with if you choose to retain our services. Building the relationship from the initial introduction call allows the process to remain transparent and avoid misinformation. The same person who creates your legal strategy will be the one to action it.

Why should I book a consultation if I know what service I need?
Choosing representation is a big decision and picking the right representative to support your immigration goals is fundamental to your experience and chances of success.
No one wants to experience more stress, frustration, loss of money or time by choosing the wrong firm or representation. Even if you know what services you are looking for and are ready to retain a firm, speaking with a representative first before signing a retainer will only give you more confidence in your decision to use that representative.
What happens after my consultation?
After your consultation, if you are interested in pursuing representation with NextGen, we will provide you with a formal quote for all fees (legal and government) associated with your matter.
